DAY : 01- MUMBAI- COLOMBO- KANDY-“Sadarayen Piligannawa” Welcome to Sri Lanka!
Colombo Airport to Kandy distance approx.: 3 hours
On arrival, you will proceed to Kandy. Transfer to Kandy, en-route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage – this 24-acre elephant Orphanage was first established by the Sri Lankan Department of Wildlife Conservation in 1975 for feeding and providing care and sanctuary to orphaned elephants that were found in the wild. The orphanage is very popular and visited daily by many Sri Lankan and foreign tourists. The main attraction is clearly to observe the bathing elephants from the tall river bank as it allows visitors to observe the herd interacting socially, bathing, playing and breeding. Later proceed to hotel and check-in. Stay overnight in Kandy. (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)
DAY: 02-KANDY- After morning breakfast, proceed for the following sightseeing:
Royal Botanical Gardens - Started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants, and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens, the earliest and tallest Palm Avenue (Royal Palm Avenue) was planted in 1905 and the Double Coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world are one such avenue. Visit to gem and lapidary museum in Kandy. Evening visits Cultural show and Stay overnight in Kandy.
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic: - Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession. Stay overnight in Kandy. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
DAY : 03-KANDY- NUWARA ELIYA/RAMBODA
Kandy to Ramboda distance approx.:2.5 hours
The morning after breakfast, after that will proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en-route we will visit Hanumanji Temple, Tea factory& Tea Plantation and check in to your Hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight in Ramboda. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
DAY: 04- NUWARA ELIYA/RAMBODA
After breakfast in the morning, proceed to visit Sitha Amman Temple. The evening commences of sightseeing of Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls, and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coolest places in the Island, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. Gregory Lake is the most prominent attraction here and all the visitors come here and spent some time by the lake and relax. Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic. Stay overnight in Ramboda. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
DAY: 05- NUWARA ELIYA/RAMBODA -BENTOTA
Ramboda to Bentota distance approx.:05 hours 20 min, After Breakfast, transfer to Bentota, arrive hotel in Bentota, evening free at leisure. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
DAY: 06- BENTOTA-After Breakfast, We will visit the Turtle Farm in Kosgoda.
Where you can see several species of turtles, especially the hawksbill, are endangered. Most vulnerable of all are their eggs, which are left uncovered on beaches all around the coast. And then proceed to Boat Ride on Bentota River. Stay overnight in Bentota. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
DAY: 07- BENTOTA-COLOMBO
Ramboda to Bentota distance approx.:02 hours
After Breakfast, transfer to Colombo, check in to the hotel. Proceed for Colombo City Tour - A drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also, visit the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. Stay overnight at Colombo. DAY: 08- COLOMBO-MUMBAI
Today after morning breakfast, check-out from the hotel. Bid adieu to all your new friends and return home with wonderful memories of your holidays. (Meals: Breakfast)
