Day wise travel itinerary

Your journey begins in the historic port city of Cochin, where cultures from across the world have left their mark over centuries of trade and travel. After your arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, you are welcomed and transferred to your hotel.
In the afternoon, step out to explore the treasures of this coastal gem. Marvel at the exquisite murals and royal artifacts of the Dutch Palace, stroll through the cobbled lanes of Jewish Street, and feel the charm of history come alive at the centuries-old Jewish Synagogue. Visit St. Francis Church, where echoes of the colonial era still linger, and watch the rhythmic dance of the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets silhouetted against the evening sky.
The night is spent in Cochin, preparing for the scenic road ahead.

After breakfast, leave behind the bustling harbor city as your road climbs into the cool embrace of the Western Ghats. The drive to Munnar is a feast for the eyes, with every turn revealing misty valleys, sprawling tea plantations, and tumbling waterfalls.
Along the way, pause at Valara and Cheeyappara Waterfalls, where crystal-clear streams cascade down lush hillsides. By afternoon, you reach Munnar — a hill station perched at 1,800 meters above sea level, crowned by South India’s highest peak, Anamudi. The rest of the day is yours to unwind amidst this alpine wonderland, perhaps with a gentle evening stroll among fragrant tea estates.

Wake up to cool mountain air and rolling green hills stretching as far as the eye can see. Today is dedicated to exploring Munnar’s many jewels. Stand by the still waters of Mattupetty Dam and soak in the surrounding scenery. Let the echoes of your voice play at Echo Point. Discover the serene beauty of Kundala Dam and take in the panoramic views from Pothamedu View Point.
As the day draws to a close, explore the local markets for fine tea leaves, aromatic spices, and handmade chocolates — souvenirs that carry the fragrance of Munnar home with you.

Bid farewell to Munnar’s highlands as you descend into the wild and verdant world of Thekkady. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and prepare for an afternoon steeped in nature’s wonders.
At the renowned Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, watch herds of elephants, spotted deer, and exotic bird species move through dense forests. The sanctuary’s spice plantations, with their intoxicating aromas of cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon, tell stories of Kerala’s long-standing spice trade. For those who wish, a boat ride on the serene Periyar Lake can be arranged — a perfect way to observe the sanctuary’s wildlife in their natural setting.

An early morning in Thekkady offers the chance for boating on Periyar Lake, after which you set out on a scenic drive to Kumarakom. Nestled on the banks of the vast Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom is a paradise of tranquil backwaters, lush greenery, and vibrant village life.
In the afternoon, explore the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a haven for migratory species such as Siberian storks and wild ducks. Later, relax by the lakeshore, watching the sun melt into the horizon. Optional experiences include a houseboat cruise or a visit to the secluded Pathiramanal Island.

From the still waters of Kumarakom, your journey continues to the golden sands of Kovalam. Upon arrival, check into your beachside resort, where the Arabian Sea greets you with its rhythmic waves. The day is yours to relax, stroll along the crescent-shaped beaches, or enjoy the laid-back charm of the fishing villages nearby.

After breakfast, head to the vibrant capital city of Trivandrum for a day of cultural exploration. Visit the sacred Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, one of the richest and most revered temples in India. Admire the artistic heritage at the Napier Museum and the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, home to an exquisite collection of traditional and modern Indian art.
Return to Kovalam in the evening to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Arabian Sea — a fitting close to your coastal sojourn.

On your final morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out. You will be transferred to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying with you the memories of Kerala’s gentle beauty, cultural richness, and warm hospitality.
