Day wise travel itinerary

Arrive at Pereira International Airport, where our representative will greet and transfer you to Salento, a charming colonial town in Colombia’s coffee region.
Enjoy free time to wander cobblestone streets, discover colorful artisan shops, and relax at a café overlooking the mountains.
Overnight: Salento
Meals

After breakfast, set off in a traditional Willys Jeep toward the legendary Cocora Valley. Following a short orientation, begin your scenic trek along the Cardenas River, passing towering wax palms—the tallest palms on Earth.
Enjoy lunch en route with spectacular canyon views before reaching La Argentina Farm, a family-run mountain homestead. Spend the evening sharing stories, local coffee, and authentic rural hospitality.

Fuel up with a hearty farmhouse breakfast before continuing your ascent toward the Paramillo Hills, a landscape of ochre sands, wetlands, and windswept ridgelines.
En route, discover the source of the Cardenas River and, with luck, catch a distant glimpse of the majestic Nevado del Tolima Volcano.
Arrive at Berlin Farm, your next mountain refuge, surrounded by panoramic Andean vistas.

An early start takes you deeper into the Los Nevados National Park, trekking across the otherworldly Paramo ecosystem—a high-altitude tundra found only in four regions worldwide.
Pass the shimmering Otún Lake, the largest in the park, framed by snow-capped peaks and alpine flora. Arrive at Campo Alegre Farm, your final mountain stop, and unwind in the peaceful surroundings.

1:30 a.m. – Early wake-up with a hot drink and energy snacks.
Drive to the trailhead (approx. 4,100 m) to begin your summit attempt of Nevado Santa Isabel—one of Colombia’s most accessible glaciers.
2:45 a.m. – Begin the trek via the Conejeras Trail, reaching the glacier by sunrise (~6:30 a.m.). Gear up for the final climb to the summit (4,700 m), where breathtaking views await.
Descend to camp for lunch, then continue by vehicle to Pereira. Option to visit nearby hot springs for a soothing dip (extra charge).

After breakfast, transfer to Pereira Airport for your onward journey—taking with you memories of towering palms, Andean warmth, and the spirit of the Colombian mountains.
